Ms. Felecia (Lisa) Kaye Perkins went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 17, 2010. Age 47 years. She was born March 27, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York to Nora Perkins and Jake Adams.
Lisa graduated from St. Marys Alternative High School. She worked for Meijer's as a Food Service Supervisor and also worked for the Federal Transportation Safety Administration as a Supervisor. She was a member of Lighthouse FLC Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lisa was a people person whose most endearing quality was her love for life. She also lived her life by one of Gods greatest commandments which is to Love Thy Neighbor. She often expressed this love through cooking which she enjoyed immensely. Lisa touched the lives of every person she met and she opened her arms and her home to family as well as friends. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking and traveling. She was a kind hearted, caring and loving person.
Lisa leaves in Gods hands to cherish her loving memory her four children: Jermaine Qvon Perkins, Tony Jaquelle Boggs, Pierre Lashae Perkins, and Taylor TaeShawn Davis; mother, Nora Perkins; 7 brothers, Michael Wayne Perkins, Victor Bernard Perkins, Maurice Qvon Perkins, Gregory (Michelle) Perkins, Martin Perkins, Marcus Perkins and Robert Perkins; 2 sisters, Deidra Ann Perkins and Madge (Willie) Pettigrew; uncle, James Eugene Perkins, Jr.; great aunt, Ruth Bryant; 3 aunts Cora Thomas, Margaret Perkins, and Ola Perkins; 13 nieces, Monica Denise, Katitia Monique, Deniece Nicole, Nichelle Renee, Marqueesha, Dominique, Kalisha, Malika Natoya, Lakendra, Ashley Danielle, Tiaira Nechelle, Marissa, Kalika; 8 nephews, Michael Quintae, Todd Gregory, Marcus, Marquavis, Xavier, Ahmad, Drayvon and Makeen; great nephew, Terrence; great niece, Imani.; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Tony, ElRee, Harold, PeeWee, Ms. Tee, John, Bertha and McKinley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jake Adams; stepfather, Robert Hopkins; grandmothers, Maggie Perkins and Maggie Brown; grandfather, James Eugene Perkins Sr.; great aunts, Bertha Young, Alice Swift, Fannie Coleman, Willie Mae Perkins; great uncle Nathaniel Perkins and uncle William Perkins.
