Felix Gardner

GARDNER, Mr. Felix Steven (Stevie). Saginaw, Michigan. Our beloved husband, father and brother departed this earthly life on Saturday, July 25, 2009. Felix Steven Gardner was born January 17, 1957 in Detroit, MI, the seventh child of eleven children born to Bennie and Ruth Gardner.
Felix attended Detroit City Schools and Wayne State University. He retired from the City of Saginaw Fire Department where he was employed for 27 years, retiring in 2007 as a Lieutenant. Felix was very devoted to his family and was always concerned about their happiness. Felix enjoyed talking on the phone and doing cross-word puzzles.
Felix leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Karen (Winchester) Gardner; his very special daughter Brittney C. Gardner; two sons by marriage: Terrance Roberson and Ashton Powell; five sisters: Sheila Walker, Donnah Lewis, Treesa Gardner, Sondra Gardner and Patricia (Gerald) Gardner-Nelson; four brothers: Stanley (LaVerne) Gardner, Darryl Gardner, Keith (Lawanda) Gardner and Eric Gardner; father-in-law Joseph (Virginia) Winchester; brother-in-law Stephen Winchester, one uncle, Hurley Hampton, two aunts, Bernice Barksdale and Willie Hampton, nine nieces and two nephews, a very special and devoted mother-in-law Lottie Webb, two very special life-long friends Jack Johnson and Terry McNair, many other relatives and friends. Felix was predeceased by his first wife, the mother of his daughter Rhonda Webb-Gardner, his parents Bennie and Ruth Gardner and one brother Richard Gardner.
The family of Felix Gardner would like to thank Dr. John Cavendish, Dr. Ernie Balcueva and staff, Dr. Wael Solh, Dr. Singh and a very special thanks to Dr. Babu Paidipaty and the nurses and staff of Covenant-Harrison ICU.
