It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Frank Murphy, who left us on March 17, 2025, at the age of 87. Frank was born in Fitler, MS, on November 14, 1937, to James and Carrie Murphy. Frank lived a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful connections.

Frank accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at New Life Baptist Ministries. His faith was an important part of his life, guiding him in his relationships.

Frank retired after many years of dedicated work at Baker Perkins and Thompson Ball and Screw. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to those around him. In retirement, Frank enjoyed pursuing his passions for golfing, fishing, and traveling, as well as spending cherished time with his three granddaughters, whom he adored.

Frank leaves behind his beloved son Rodney Murphy (Tara Shingola); three granddaughters, Heaven, Saffron, and Harlow Murphy; goddaughter, Jan Moore; his siblings, Willie Bryant, R.C. Murphy, George Murphy, Edward Murphy, and Phyllis Murphy; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Frank shared a special bond with his cousin Celestine Simmons, whom he truly loved dearly.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, James and Carrie Murphy; his first wife Joann (Smith) Murphy; his second wife Freddie L. (Curl) Murphy; three brothers, Arleaner Thomas, James Murphy, and Floyd Murphy; two sisters Josephine Davis and Carrie Young, and granddaughter, Victoria Shingola.

The family extends special thanks to close friends Tony Holmes, George Porter, and Kendrick Abernathy (Godson) as well as the staff of Medilodge of Frankenmuth for their care and support during Frank's final years.
