Mr. Frankie L. Neal was born December 16, 1940, the son of James W. Neal, Sr. and Maggie Graham Higgins. He quietly departed this life on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in Saginaw, Michigan.
Frankie was born and raised in Forrest City, Arkansas. At an early age he received Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Salem Baptist Church in Forrest City, Arkansas. Later in life, he was a member of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Saginaw, Michigan. He was educated within the Forrest City Schools System and inducted into the Hall of Fame at Lincoln High School.
Frank dedicated three years of service to the United States Army and Army Reserve. He was an honorable veteran. After serving in the military, Frank was employed with several companies in New York. After relocating to Saginaw, he became employed with the General Motors Corporation Power Train and was an active member with UAW Local 668. He retired after over thirty-nine years of service.
In his free time, Frank liked to play baseball and watch sports and movies. He was a member of the Bad News Bears baseball team in Saginaw, Michigan and also bowled in various bowling leagues. Frank had several special friends of which he shared many good times with: Michael Ford, Melvin Nathan, Herbert Woods, Maxine Douglas, Leo C. Barkenow, Walter Edward and William Carol.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Neal, Sr. and Maggie Higgins; sister, Joann Neal; brothers, James Jr. and Leroy Neal; cousin, Elliott Graham.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Naomi Neal; two daughters, Rosalyn Y. and Regon R. Neal; six grandchildren, Tinisha (James) Washington, Chanell Neal, Tyrez (Jacqueniah) Neal, Imani Leach, Derrick T. Neal, Cherrelle (Raymond) Gates; three sisters, Florence Bryson, Mary V. Neal, Christine (Charles) Miller; two brothers, Larry Graham, Tommy Neal; sisters-in-law, Ethel Halsey, Leola Feaster, Minnie Hope, Gussie Feaster; brother-in-law, Namon Jr. (Elnora) Feaster; godchildren, Tracy, Christian Reed, Michael Ford, Torrey Clark; special nieces, Loresia B. Davis, Vanessa D. Daniel; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
