On Sunday, October 12, 2014, God called home one of his faithful servants. Mr. Freddie Scott Hunter passed away at Covenant Healthcare Cooper at the age of 77 years.
Mr. Hunter was born to Cleveland and Lillian Hunter on April 20, 1937 in Monroe, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Richwood High School. Freddie was employed at the Saginaw Malleable Iron and was a member ofUnion Local 455. He also worked as custodian at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church. Freddie was blessed with skills of a carpenter and he loved doing carpentry work. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Freddie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Joyce Hunter; six daughters, Cynthia, Betty, Geneva, Janice, Denise and Evon; seven sons, Byron, Courtney, DeWayne, Sam, William, Robert and O'Neal; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Leola Harris; one brother, Otis Hester; many nieces, nephews and cousins including a special cousin, Willie Hunter II; one aunt, Bea; mother-in-law, Annie Bell Patterson; many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Bobby Norman.
Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Lillian Hunter; grandparents, a son, Jerry; one sister, Mary Johnson; three brothers, Joe, Henry and Demaris Hunter; a special aunt and uncle, Mable and Fred Clay.
