Mr. Freddy Lee Wilson, Jr. passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 58 years. He was born February 2, 1961 in Hughes, Arkansas the son of Mablen Golden and Freddy Lee Wilson, Sr.

Freddy moved with his family to Muskegon, Michigan where he attended Muskegon High School and was a 1979 graduate. He then relocated to Lansing, Michigan in April of 1990. Freddy worked at the State of Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Hayes Lemmerz in Howell, Michigan, formerly known as Kelsey Hayes, for several years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, movies, family get-togethers and one-on-one conversation.

He was married to Benita Lynn Chambers for 35 years and they were blessed with 5 beautiful children. Freddy was a great provider for his family with an easy-going personality. He had a way of making you laugh and he loved to laugh. Freddy lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with his family and friends!

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Benita Lynn Wilson; six children, Freddie “Lil Freddie” Wilson, III, Darrius “Dee” (Kayla) Wilson, Aaron “AJ” Wilson, Bridgette Wilson, Brittney Wilson all of Lansing, Michigan and Shatila Sargent-Wilson of Muskegon, Michigan; nine grandchildren; eight siblings, Donald Dickey, Joyce Dickey, Eddie (Tracy) Wilson, Judy Jackson, Mablen Wilson, Shalonda Golden, Yolanda Golden all of Muskegon, Michigan and Walter Lee Wilson of Los Angeles, California; six brothers- and sisters-in-law, Latitia (Troy) Fox and Fatima Flowers of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Regina (Christopher) Johnson of Holt, Michigan, Benika (Marcus) Longmire, Tonika Chambers and Bennie Chambers all of Muskegon, Michigan; many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins including special aunt, Lula Chambers-Chan, special nephew, Idris J. Golden and friends, including special friends, Edward D. Speech, Gregory Barnes, Ross Also Brooks, Paul “Country” Ross and Darnell Appling. Lastly, his special companion, Rocky, the Dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mablen Golden & Freddy Wilson, Sr.; sister, Maggie Golden and nephew, Eddie Lee Wilson, Jr.
