Frederick Foster

Mr. Frederick Foster passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 61 years. Frederick T. Foster, also known to many as “Freddy Cougar,” was born September 16, 1961, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Arthur Foster Jr. and Rutha Mae Weathers-McGlory.


Frederick was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Willie R. Hill, Jr. He attended Saginaw High School in 1979, continuing his education at Ruben Daniels where he received his General Education Development (G.E.D). Freddie was employed at Vlasic Pickles for several years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing pool, shooting dice, family gatherings, dressing up, and taking pictures. He also had fun times arguing with his cousin, Columbo (they loved each other dearly).


Frederick leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Sophia (Velton) Williams, Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Sharika Foster, and Brianna Holliman, Saginaw, Michigan, grandchildren, Darian Bell, Las Vegas, Nevada, Velton Jr., Tyren, and Serenity, all of Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Calvin, Jania, KaMaya, and Lynnell, all of Saginaw Michigan; three sisters, Rudell Foster, Belinda Foster-Buck, and Barbara Foster, Florida; three brothers, Larry Foster, Atlanta, Georgia, Ervin Foster, Saginaw, Michigan, and Skyler Cohen, Las Vegas, Nevada; four nieces, Shelbie Williams, Shameka Foster, Porsche Foster, and Micah (Dominque) Bailey; five nephews, Aaron (Laura) Foster, Kiante Foster, Denzel Buck, Ervin Foster Jr., and Javontae Cohens; three aunts, Annie Lavender, Catherine Clayton, and Shirley Weathers; five uncles, Herbert Foster, Isaac (Sherry) Weathers, Isaiah (Collette) Weathers, Jerome (Dawn) Weathers, and Larry (Pat) Frierson; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Etta Smith, Reggie Gray, Jackie Sangster and Vickie Pearce.


Frederick was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Weathers-McGlory; father, Arthur Foster Jr.; and granddaughter, Cierra Williams.
