June 7, 1928 — August 22, 2020

On Saturday, August 22, 2020, Mr. Frederick Wheeler, Sr. at the mature age of 92, fell asleep in the Lord. He was born June 7, 1928, in Bulger, Pennsylvania to Frank and Fannie Wheeler.

Frederick married Montverletia Prater on February 2, 1954. In 1955 they moved to Saginaw, Michigan. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.

Frederick will always be remembered for his friendly demeanor. He lived his entire life never meeting a stranger but always meeting a new friend. His infectious smile will be dearly missed but his love will be cherished by those he leaves behind.

Two special sister-in-laws, Rosemond Strickland and Helen Lane. A special brother in-law, Amos Lane. A special niece, Rosamary Bennett. A special friend, Imogene Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Velicia Gibson; son, Frederick (Vurlia) Wheeler; three grandchildren, Michelle Buchanan, Ashley Wheeler and Frederick Alexander Wheeler; three great-grandchildren, Emontre, Jaylen and Aniyah Buchanan; four great-great-grandchildren, Emontre Jr., Emier, Karmyn and Emilah Buchanan; brother, Leroy Timothy Wheeler, Sr.; many beloved nieces, nephews, other relative and friends, including he extended Wheeler and Lane Families.
