Gail Rochelle Dilworth (Lansing)

Mrs. Gail Rochelle Dilworth passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024, in Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 61 years old. She was born Thursday, August 2, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert Moore and Rose Jackson.

Gail lived in Lansing, Michigan where she was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She attended Austin High School in Chicago, Illinois and Lansing Community College also. Gail was employed by the Department of Health & Human Services as a home health associate. She also worked at Lewis Cass Building as a cafeteria customer service assistant. Gail enjoyed shopping, gardening, talking on the phone, home décor, was known as a fashionista, and a boutique owner. She was sweet, kind, humble, thoughtful, giving, loving and all around “Boss Lady”.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James Dilworth; daughter, Ieshia Monique Adams; sons, Brian Webster McCray, Jr. and Brandon Cortez McCray; stepchildren, Anthony Dilworth and Hope Casler; grandchildren, Fantasy Adams, Charm Adams, Avianna Allen, Avayah Allen, Brooklyn Allen, Brittish Allen, Brandon McCray, Jr., Brazil McCray, and Brian McCray III; step-grandchildren, Elijah Casler, Kalia Dilworth, Katura Dilworth, and Serenty Cherish Hill; great-grandchildren, Aristany Terry, Apollo Terry, Athena Terry; parents, Rose (Tommie) Jackson and Herbert Moore; sister, Rachel Denise Blackney; brother, Eric D. Blakney; 5 nieces, 8 nephews, aunts, Dorothy Wilson and Williemae (Roger) Shanklin; uncle, Abraham (LaDora) Jackson; many cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Treasure Adams; grandfather, Willie Adams; grandmother, Emma Keys; and brother, Ernest Terrell Blakney.
