Garfield King, Jr. "Bruh"

Mr. Garfield King, Jr. "Bruh" passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison.  Age 85 years. He was born August 10, 1939, to Nellie Green-King and Garfield King Sr., in Greenville, Mississippi.

Mr. King had been a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, since 1943. He accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age in Mississippi. Garfield attended Saginaw Public Schools including Saginaw High School where he worked in the office. He was an artist and had excellent penmanship. Garfield enjoyed writing and drawing which were his favorite things to do. He was a "free spirit," and chose to live life on his terms. Mr. King was well-known throughout Saginaw and had many friends and acquaintances. 

Garfield leaves to cherish his memories, one sister of eight siblings, Mary Alice McKinley, Los Alamitos, California; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and two aunts, Kate Alexander, Saginaw, Michigan, and Margaree Martin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; many other relatives and friends.

Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie and Garfield King Sr.; grandparents, Raymond Jackson and Millie Jackson, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan; seven siblings, Queen Esther Green, Barbara Jean King, Lexington, Samuel Edward, and Tommie Nell Miles, Jimmy Lee McTorry, and Sarah Ann McTorry.
