Gary Auvinen (Mason)

Gary Wayne Auvinen, age 68, of Mason, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 after a short battle with cancer. Gary was born in Lansing, Michigan on November 24, 1951 to Elmer and Ruth Auvinen.

Gary attended Lansing Eastern High School. He enjoyed nature and all kinds of animals and wildlife. Gary collected books and movies about them. He enjoyed spending time with family.

He leaves to cherish his memories 2 sisters, Doris (Delbert) Scott and Linda (Dennis) Schwartz; brother, Gordon (Judy) McGarey; 2 nieces, Lisa (Brian) Woodward and Lindsay Schwartz; 2 great nieces, Kinsley and Kennedy Woodward; aunt, Jennie Maki; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Ruth McGarey.

There will be a memorial graveside service at a later date.
