Mr. Gary Manuel passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Age 46 years. He was born January 2, 1977, in Saginaw, Michigan to Shirley Manuel and Earl Trouse.
Gary was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, where he attended Saginaw Public Schools including Nelle Haley, Webber Junior High, and Saginaw High School. He was a member of Candlelight Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Jimmie Simington.
Gary was employed at High Tech. He loved his children, grandchildren, and family events. Gary enjoyed washing and driving his cars, and playing many sports including basketball, football, and baseball; he also loved to cook. Gary was very neat, organized, and loved to dress nicely. He received many certificates and trophies. Gary had a greater love for his parents, his one and only daughter, nieces, and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him dearly.
Gary leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Ceiara Manuel; three sons, Gary Manuel III, De’Torrian Johnson, and Malik Manuel; grandchildren, Londynn Manuel, Kobe Johnson, Malik Manuel Jr., Tay’Den Manuel, DeAnthony Miller, Nova Owusu, and Kamiyah Manuel; parents, Shirley Manuel, and Earl Trouse; Albert Trouse Jr.; sisters, Sheilanda Reynolds, Jacqueline Trouse, Nicole Manuel, and Ayana Manuel; two brothers, David and Stephen Manuel; eleven nieces, Ashley, Iesha, Arnae, DaNia, Lamiyah, Brianna, Ra’Kyiah, Anari, Aniyla, Alaiah Manuel, and Diamond Trouse; eleven nephews, Ronny, Louis Jr., Nathan, David Jr., Jamarion, Ramon, Trayveon, Michael, Dana, Dominique, and Delion; seven aunts, Bernice, Teresa, Flora, Rosa, Brenda, Leatha Calhoun, and Sonia Wrenn; six uncles, Joe, Clifford, Darnell, Julius, Marvin, and Nathan; many cousins, including special cousins, Leeroy Harris and Felicia Wrenn; one brother-in-law, Lonnie Reynolds; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Amar Adkins, Ricky Cooper, Teron Simpson, Jason Donald, Shannon Draine, Robert Thomas ”Shug,” and Shawnda Hill.
Gary was preceded in death by his son, Gary Manuel II; Brenda Wrenn, and Joe Jackson; grandparents, Ella Wreen, William Manuel, Ladora Price, Linnie Calhoun, Demetrius, and Mr. Trouse.
