Mr. Gene Artery Epps Plumber, of Saginaw, MI passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2009. Age 70 years. He was born on September 6, 1939 in Cullen, LA to Sarah George and Hollis Epps.
Mr. Epps was a member of Truevine Baptist Church and was self employed as a carpenter and builder. He enjoyed playing dominoes with the 11th Street crew, fixing material things such as fans, heaters and anything that was repairable. He loved to have fun and he loved his family especially his grandchildren. He was a cool, calm and laid back man who didnt say much. His favorite words were Yeah! and Hey There!
He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters and two sons, Demetric McCain (Myrtle Beach, VA), Sharon Sanders (Cullen, LA), Boyee Green (Cullen, LA), Cheytrade Michell Bringes (Los Angeles, CA), September Simmons (Saginaw, MI) and Charva Feagin (Saginaw, MI); two step-children, Henry Feagin (Saginaw, MI) and Lamar Feagin (Saginaw, MI); thirteen grandchildren including special grandchildren, Dontavis, Makee and Shanna Simmons (Saginaw, MI); three sisters, Ollie Greer (Cullen, LA), Jessye Williamson (Saginaw, MI) and Betty (Jesse) Amos (Saginaw, MI); three brothers, Bobby Epps, Author Epps (Cullen, LA) and Hollis (Frankie) Epps (Cullen, LA); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friend Gloria Feagin.
He was predeceased by his mother, Sarah Epps George, father, Hollis Epps Sr.; step-father, Odell George; three sisters, Piccola Gibson, Alice Epps and Bessie Hayes; two brothers, Billy Williams and Bobby Williams.
