George L Beavers (Lansing)

George L. Beavers of Lansing, Michigan passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at the age of 70 years. He was born January 1, 1944 to Mr. George and Susie Beavers (Carter) in Okolona, Arkansas.

George was a retiree of General Motors after serving thirty-one years. He was also a member of UAW Local 652. George was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman: enjoying motorcycling, snowmobiling, boating, racing cars and camping. You name it and he did it or at least tried it.

He leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Georgia Burns of West Memphis, Arkansas one brother, Charles Beavers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; six daughters, Ethel Verser of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tanya Beavers of Kuwait, Deloris Beavers, Lisa (Malik) Lee, Mary Mitchell and Anita (Clarence) Jones, all of Lansing Michigan; four sons, Joshua Thomas, Tommie Hernandez, Joey Thomas of Lansing, Michigan and Freddy (Tamara) Dean of Dallas, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Tania (Kenyon) Brown of Mt Laurel, New Jersey, Tyrice (Alayna) Mitchell of Reno, Nevada, Wyvone (Tamika) Verser of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Travis Verser, Tucker Johnson, Paris Wells, DeMarcus Lane, Tanya Warren, Tosha Verser, Dwayne Johnson, Montrell Smith all of Lansing, Michigan; many great grandchildren, other relatives and friends including his lifetime partner, Rebecca Thomas of Lansing, Michigan, one god-daughter, Maylon Williams, special nieces, Loretta Pate, Audrey (Candy) Patterson and Wanda Beavers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Susie Beavers, six brothers, Henry Beavers, George Jr. Beavers, James Beavers, J.D Beavers, Howard Beavers, Jimmie Beavers, three sisters, Susie Beavers, Doretha Patterson and Luella Beavers of Little Rock, Arkansas, best friends till the end, Robert Williams, Willie Baines, and Grover Patterson.
