On Monday, June 10, 2013 God sent an angel for Mrs. Georgia Anna Thomas. She passed away quietly at her residence at the age of 85 years. Georgia was born August 1, 1928 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Horace G. Madison and Anna Ellen Boose.
Georgia attended a school in Tuscaloosa, Alabama before relocating to Saginaw, Michigan to live and raise her family. She received her degree in Nursing and was an employee of Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital for many years. Georgia was a beautician who owned and operated Buena Vista Beauty Salon. She was also a Notary Public Tax Preparer. Georgia was born again and had accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of True Love Temple Church for many years until her health declined. There she served as church secretary and head nurse of the nurses guild. Mrs. Thomas loved watching sports. Her presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her most precious memory five sons, Frederick Hurst Skipper of Germany, Curtis (Wilmer) McZee of Saginaw, Michigan, Ronald McZee of Bay City, Michigan, Richard McZee, Peoria, Illinois and Tommie Thomas Jr., Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two daughters, Gloria (Jeanne) Ross of Peoria, Illinois and Sandra Davis of Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters, Ruth Roberson of Grand Bay, Alabama, Clara Howard Stallworth Peaches of Mobile, Alabama; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; cousins, Sonny, Cora, Willie, Vincent Thompson all of Saginaw, and Willie Mae Ballard of New York; a special daughter-in-law, Wilmer Ham-McZee; and her mother, Everlena Jones; also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, her church family and friends who adored her. She will be truly missed by special friends, Pastor/Overseer Reverend Frankie B. Minor, Deacon Johnny and Melvin (Audrey) McKandes and family.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Anna Madison, grandparents, step-mother, Clara Madison, two sons, Clarence Allen McZee Jr. and Daryle McZee, uncle Gene, uncle Sercy, aunt Mary Lou, aunt Nelle, Cora Thomas, Milton Thomas, aunt Maybelle and uncle Jack, daughter-in-law, Barbara McZee. She will be joining special friends, Nurse Katie Williams, Nurse Grace, Evangelist Helen and Mother Brown.
