Geraldine Elliott Bitty passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at her residence. Age 59 years. She was born March 3, 1953 in Shaw, Mississippi to Matt and Dora Haggard Elliott.
Geraldine was a member of New Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Rufus Bradley. There she was an active member of the 20/20 Group. Geraldine worked in home health care for many years, she was an excellent caregiver. She loved taking care of people. In her spare time she loved to watch her stories which included General Hospital and Days of Our Lives. Geraldine enjoyed reading, writing, listening to music and attending church. She was a loving person who loved spending time with her friends and family. Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Lucretia (Amon) Elliott-Bowens; four sons, Robert (Keisha) Elliott, James (Monica) Elliott, Jimmie (Amy) Elliott, Julius (Amanda) Elliott; grandchildren, Aliyah, Jayden, Robert, Oksana, Rakeisha and James Jmon Elliott, Blake Allan, Chenika Bowens, Myasiah and Arieana Hernandez, Quntae Abner, Christopher James and Owen Liam Wright; four sisters, Rosie, LeNora and Dora Ousley-Elliott, Jonnie Mae Johnson; two brothers, Matt (Rita) Elliott, Charlie (Terry) Elliott; many other relatives and friends including her significant other, Carter Sample.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Dora and Matt Elliott, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Haggard, one grandchild, Julius Elliott II, one brother, James Elliott, two sisters, Ruby Jean and Ruby Stein Elliott.
