Mrs. Geraldine Jenkins Lewis departed this earthly life on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the age of 63 years. She was born June 30, 1951 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Ella Mae and James White Jenkins Jr.
During her elementary and high school years, Geraldine was the perfect student making all A's and Bs. In 1971 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Albert Lewis and from this union two children were born, Angela and Albert Lewis Jr. Geraldine confessed Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She was a member of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Roy Manning. One of Geraldines favorite hobbies was planting and growing beautiful flowers. She also loved beautifying her home inside and out. Gone but never forgotten, her wonderful presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Albert Lewis; two children, Angela Lewis and Albert Lewis Jr. both of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Angel, Atlena and Aleah Lewis all of Saginaw, Michigan, Tavario Lewis of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jason and Tangelo Lewis Miller both of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two sisters, Velma Jenkins Mosley of Flint Township, Michigan and Gloria Jenkins Maxey of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two brothers, James Jenkins Jr. of Seattle, Washington and Chester Jenkins of Vicksburg, Mississippi; other siblings, Stephanie, Shannon, Issiac, Aaron, Johnny, Bernice and Michael Mann all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; mother-in-law, Clara Lee Miller also of Vicksburg, Mississippi; many other relatives and friends.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, James White and Ella Mae Jenkins and Beulah White Jenkins, grandparents, Frank Prentiss, Laura White and Thomas Carter. Her sister, Cozetta Jenkins Smith passed away a day before Geraldine on June 6, 2015.
