Gertrude Davis

Gertrude Davis Doll Baby passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Heartland Healthcare Center Grand Rapids, Michigan following a short illness. She was born December 20, 1932 in Aiken, South Carolina to Willie and Gertrude Key.
Gertrude was a wise, kind, loving, out-spoken and caring person. She loved to cook and could burn in the kitchen. Gone but not forgotten, her presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Tracey Scott, Grand Rapids, Michigan; two sons, Ricky Scott, Muskegon, Michigan, Michael (Bonita) Scott, Grand Rapids, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Terry Johnson and Quincy (Kia) Johnson, both of Lansing, Michigan, James Johnson, Saginaw, Michigan, Nakisha Scott, London, England, Rodney (Goldie) Johnson, David Gordon, Cassie (Troy) Gordon-Milton and Marquisha Kennedy, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mattie Knight, Newark, New Jersey, Johnnie Mae Hill, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Wilbur Davis.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her children, Willie, Mary and Vergus Scott, Paulettte Johnson, her husband, Paul Scott, one brother, Fred Thomas, special family members, Shavika Johnson, James Johnson, Leroy Thomas and Nell Cook.
