Gladys Roberson-Williams

February 6, 1949 — April 28, 2022

Ms. Gladys Roberson-Williams passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at her residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 73 years. Gladys was born February 6, 1949, in Prattville, Alabama, to Zeola Roberson-Tyson and Edd Roberson Sr.


Gladys attended Saginaw Public Schools and was employed at the Neighborhood House. She enjoyed working in her yard, spending time with her family and volunteering at New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for 62 years.


Gladys leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Sandra Roberson, Mia (Darnell) Pulliam, Donyell Williams; one son, Donald Williams; her beloved pet, Smokie; grandchildren, Anthony Roberson, Britney (Corey) Prescott, Verquisha Montgomery, Darquell, Denzel, and Darnay Pulliam, Briyona Jones, Laterika Roberson, Doniqua Williams, and Veronica Burton; 9 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Carolyn Jones, Jannie Johnson, Barbara Roberson, Gloria ‘Gi-Gi’ Ford, and Betty Jackson; four brothers, Kenneth (Linda) Roberson, Donald (Roberta) Madden, Gregory (Vicky) Tyson, and Harold Jackson Jr; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; uncle, Willie ‘Mag’ Smith; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Antonia Garcia, Stacy Duran, Frances Moncrief, Freddie Green, and Pastor Alfred Harris Jr. and the New Mt. Calvary Church Family.


Gladys was preceded in death by her sons, Terrance "Foe" Roberson, and Daniel Gardner; parents, Zeola Roberson-Tyson, and Edd Roberson Sr; stepfather Roy C. Tyson;  grandparents, Rosie and Moten Smith; siblings, Edd Roberson Jr, Lemoris Roberson, Damus Gardner, Vanesha Tyson, Roy Tyson Jr, and Tracy Wesley; niece, Dana Roberson; and nephew, Stone Roberson.


The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Alfred Harris, Jr. and the New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Family, her Southside Family, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
