Mr. Glen Edward Foster was born April 11, 1954, in Saginaw, Michigan, the youngest child of eight siblings, to the late Alberta and David Foster. He was surrounded, not in the physical sense but in love, support, and a fierce loyalty that transcended over many miles by his children, as he transitioned suddenly on June 21, 2022, in Villa Rica, Georgia, after a lengthy illness and waiting for a kidney transplant.
Glen, affectionately called “Bobby,” attended the prestigious West Point Academy. He graduated from Buena Vista High School with honors, Class of 1972. Bobby also attended Eastern Michigan University. He received numerous recognitions such as retiring as a Quality Inspector with 43 years of service at General Motors.
As a child, Bobby was a member of Tabernacle Baptist church where he developed a strong relationship with God. He later went to Candlelight Church and Williams Temple. Most recently he attended Word of Faith Cathedral in Austell, Georgia.
Bobby was a Boy Scout Leader in Bridgeport, Michigan, spending countless hours pouring into the scouts, encouraging them, teaching responsibility, and leadership skills.
He loved his family and was a devoted father. He loved to cook; one of his favorite dishes enjoyed by his family was his signature homemade German Chocolate Cake and homemade ice cream. As a dedicated member of the Foster Jackson Jones family Reunion Committee, one of his responsibilities included heading the family scholarship fund with silent auctions. He loved to sing which led to the formation of a quartet group. Bobby also owned a small lawn care business providing entrepreneurial opportunities for others.
Prior to his declining health, Bobby was active and loved fishing, golfing, traveling, attending plays, thrifting, and spending time with his family. Most recently he enjoyed watching TikTok videos.
But none of his accomplishments were more precious than the one he received on June 21, from the Lord, declaring that his earthly assignment was now completed. God personally touched him and said, “well done, my good and faithful servant. No more suffering, no more pain, your reign and position in Heaven is all that remains.”
