Ms. Glenda Ann Booker was born on May 19, 1961, in Tallulah, Louisiana, to Johnny and Anna Booker. She relocated to Saginaw, Michigan, at a very young age. Glenda passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Age 62 years.
Glenda attended North Jr. High and graduated from Arthur Hill High School Class of 1979. She retired from Hemlock Semiconductor on May 19, 2023, where she was employed for more than 10 years.
She leaves to cherish her memories: first cousins, Leroy and Diane Berry-Bell, Larry and Linda Berry-Adams, Annette Chambers, the Sanders, Slaughter, Robinson, Brown, Blackmon, and other extended families; god-daughter, Marshay Terry; neighbor and close friend, Hosiea (Bucky) Ramson; stepsisters, Diane Holliman and Emma Donald; best friends, Dawn Jones, Tonya Boone, Shay Whitegurl-Douglas, Niquee Michelle; earthly son, Gilbert Snipes; her Hemlock Semi-Conductor work family; and many others who loved her dearly.
Glenda was predeceased by her parents, Johnny and Anna Booker; uncle and aunt, James and Elizabeth Berry; cousins, James Berry Jr. and Billy Berry; and many other extended families.
Family and friends held a Celebration of Life Memorial in honor of Glenda with a balloon release on Sunday, September 10, at her home. A tribute page has been set up for those who would like to share memories. In accordance with Glenda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no additional services.
