Glenda Draine

March 16, 1961 — July 6, 2009

Our beloved Angel was called home to be with our Savior on July 5, 2009. Age 48. She was a member of Life Changing Ministries Church. Glenda was loved and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She spent her time enjoying her family and watching movies. She especially loved and watched over the younger generation of her familys children and always reached out to other children in need. She shared and sacrificed herself and time to a multitude of people in many ways, helping out and lending a loving hand where needed. She was a wonderful outgoing woman and she turned many frowns to smiles.
Glenda leaves to cherish her memory her children: Shantell Draine, Charlene (Barnard Travis, Sr.) Draine and Leonard Evans; grandchildren: Barnard Travis, Jr. and Catherine Draine; siblings: Margaret Carter, Diane Washington, Debra Gartley, Lincoln Curtis (Pam) Johnson, Rev. K.T. (Linda) Draine, LaVajah (Karen) Draine, Napoleon (Cynthia) Draine, William Clyde (Doris) Draine; nieces: LaTangela, Shawnda, Shelina, Kiawana, Ebony, Debra, and Ashley; nephews: Clifton, Walter, LaVah, Jr., DeMarko, William, Jr., K.T., Jr., Julius, Napoleon, Jr., Carl, Sammy D., Bobby, Terry, Curtis and Bruce; aunts: Delma, Lizzie, Bessie, Diane, Doris, Christine and Decee; uncle: Eddie Bingham, Jr. and many cousins, a host of other relatives and friends including special friends: Makenzie Grant, Josephine Billinger, Fred Lockett, Michael Campbell, Pamela Currington, Donald Lockett, Edward Bryant, John Choyce, Vera Harris, Tricu, S. T. Draine (great nephew). Glenda was preceded in death by her parents: Sam and Catherine Draine, one nephew, one great nephew and a host of relatives and special friends. The family would like to express special thanks to Paradise Funeral Chapel and all who expressed love and concern.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Paradise Funeral Chapel, 3100 S. Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI, Pastor Jacob Gaines officiating with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday with family hour 12:30 Wednesday until time of service.
