Gloria Banks

June 22, 1952 — January 29, 2021

Gloria D. Banks was born June 22, 1952 in Indianola, Mississippi, the daughter of James and Lueberta Banks.

Gloria was a very beautiful, loving, caring mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, dancing and spending time with family and friends. Gloria loved being a grandmother and singing gospel. She had a heart of gold and gave food and shelter to anyone in need. Well done good and faithful servant.

Gloria was preceded in death by her son, Deon Banks; parents, James Sr. and Luberta Banks; brothers, James and Stanley Banks; sisters, Patricia Knight and Sherry Houston.

She leaves to cherish her memory three granddaughters, Deontanette Banks, Marion, Indiana, Carmesha and Cornequa Knight, both of Saginaw, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Iyanna, Layla McRae, all of Marion, Indiana, MyQuavis, Jayden, Julian Knight, all of Saginaw, Michigan; sisters, Doris Quinn, Elkhart, Indiana, Overzenia Laster, Barbara Watkins, Kimberly Hardy, Shirley McClung, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Linda Nunn, Plymouth, Michigan, Pearline Surles, Texas; brothers, Eddie Knight, Saginaw, Michigan, Sylvester (Teresa) Banks, Jody (Leslie) Nunn, both of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Cleveland (Santoria) Kendricks, Saginaw, Michigan; goddaughters, Fredricka Donald, Karen Roberson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends Adrian “Fish” Blakes and Janice “BJ” West.
