Ms. Gloria Brooks formerly of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Peachtree Christian Hospice. She was born on September 13, 1951 in Crenshaw, Mississippi to Ruben and Estell Brooks.
In 2009, she became a resident of Duluth, Georgia and spent time fishing, cooking, spending time with friends and family especially her two grandchildren. She also enjoyed listening to the Blues and playing bingo.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Mikko Devona Brooks; two grandchildren, Dava Christina Gochette, Ricky Darryl Williamson Jr.; six sisters, Doris Brooks, Mary Sanders, Beverly Stephenson, Donna Brooks, Roseane Brooks; seven brothers, Robert, Jimmy, Ruben, Johnny, David, James (Brooks); one aunt, Eva Merritt; two uncles, Odell McGlothian, Detroit, MI, Joe Eddy Johnson, Chicago, IL, many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Ruby Brown, Saginaw, MI, special daughter Sharmeen Brascon (Christy), Troy, MI.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Estell Brooks, two special cousins, Willie Mae Jones, Dorothy Johnson and a very special friend Theresa.
