Gregory A. Murray (Lansing)

Mr. Gregory “Greg” Allen Murray went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the age of 30. Mr. Murray was born September 12, 1988 and raised by James and Darlene Campbell in Lansing Michigan. Gregory graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 2007. He was a member of Living Word Outreach Church (LWOC), where he accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at a young age.

Gregory had a heart of gold; he was loving, kind and funny. His smile and hugs were admired by all in his presence. He always made you laugh. Greg was respectful, friendly and adored by many; everywhere he went, he always knew someone. Gregory’s sense of humor brought smiles and joy; he loved to share jokes and act goofy.

Gregory was a affectionate son, devoted big brother and caring father. He dearly loved all his children. Greg cherished his time at home with family. His favorite foods were Pops’ Banana Split Pie, BBQ, Chicken and Waffles, Macaroni and Cheese, Sweet Potatoes, Mom’s Fried Catfish and Greens. He liked basketball, video games, cars and Marvel movies.

Gregory leaves to honor his memory, James and Darlene Campbell; sons, Da’Mir Allen Murray, Karter Omir Smith, Kyden Devon Smith, DeShawn Murray and Daniel Armani Gauldin; brother, Isaiah Darnell Murray; sisters, Kesha (Morgan) Munlin and Nicole Andrea Campbell; grandmother, Delpha Gill Powell; stepbrothers, Maurice Gill, Marquis Gill, Martice Gill and Marshawn Curtis; stepsister, Markesha Gill; aunt, Jacqueline Cornelius; cousins, Brittany Beckley and Markus Williams, many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by Linda Darnell Murray, Christina Wade, Emerson and Gertrude Bragg.
