Gregory Cross (Lansing)

Mr. Gregory Bernard Cross II of Lansing MI, passed away suddenly on April 22, 2019 in Saginaw, Michigan at age 37. Gregory was born November 1, 1981 to Glenda Smith Cross and Gregory Cross in Saginaw, Michigan. Affectionately called Greggy by those who loved him best, he was very adventurous, ambitious, observant, funny, smart, protective and loyal as a child. Greggy maintained these priceless attributes throughout his life.

Greggy was raised in Saginaw where he attended Saginaw Public Schools, Francis F. Reh Academy, Nouvel Catholic High School and graduated with his high school diploma from Mackinaw Academy. He furthered his education at Delta College majoring in Nursing. He was employed by St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center Emergency Department until his health declined. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Tabernacle of David Church in Lansing Michigan.

Greggy loved to play basketball, watch sports, spend time with family and friends, and playing video games. He coached for the Juniors Basketball Association in Lansing. Greggy also had a passion for making and listening to music, his stage name was G-Cross.

Greggy most of all loved spending time with his 3 beautiful daughters, Lex, Ona, and Coco. He was a devoted, loving, and nurturing father and absolutely adored his princesses. Greggy was a major part of their lives.

Gregory leaves to cherish his memory his daughters; Alexa Cross, Onalee Cross, and Kylah (Coco) Cross; his biggest supporter and dedicated mother, Glenda Cross; his father, Gregory Cross; brothers, Terrance (LaToya) Smith, Trevor Hill; sisters, Ashley (Tyrone) Gregory, Sheena Cross; uncles, Charles Siler, Roy (Cassandra) Siler, Eugene (Regina) Smith, Robin (Ruth Monroe) Young, Willie (Mildred) Smith; aunts, Deborah (Albert) Brown, Nita (Henry) Williams; grandparents, Alvin and Elizabeth Young; nephews, Terrance Smith II, Elijah Gregory, Trevor Hill II and Jordan Johnson; nieces, Nahcia Powell, and Camryn Cross.
Gregory, also leaves to cherish his memory special cousins, Barry (BJ) Siler, Robin Young II, and very dear friends Erin Williams, Eric Williams, Mike Jackson, Germaine Pittman, Mattias (T Will) Williams, and Ronald (PT) Williamson.

Gregory was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Pastor Eugene and Amida Smith and paternal grandparents Willie and Marie Smith.
