Guadalupe Garcia "Lupe" (Lansing)

Mrs. Guadalupe Garcia known as “Lupe” gained her wings and went to be with our God on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, with her spouse by her side, at the University of Michigan Health – Sparrow in Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 52 years old. She was born to Raul Cortez “Rudy” and Beatrice Navarro Cortez on Tuesday, August 31, 1971, in Lansing, Michigan.

 Lupe was a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School. She pursued higher education and obtained an associate degree from Baker College. She was an avid reader, loved caring for her plants, and her precious dog, Lily, whom she enjoyed walking through the neighborhood. Lupe was a homemaker for the last three years of her life. Family and friends will miss her.

 She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Alejandro Garcia; daughter, Ava Garcia; son, Chaz (Allissa Deboer) Smith; three stepchildren, Justin Garcia, Alejandro “AJ” (Melanie) Garcia, Jr.; and Austin (Kenzie Smith) Garcia; grandchildren, Chaz Smith-Deboer, Emery Garcia, Gia Garcia, Ezra Garcia and Esai Garcia; parents, Raul Cortez and Beatrice Navarro Cortez; two sisters, Ruby Cortez and Francis Cortez; brother, Pablo Cortez; five nieces, Bella, Chole, and Arryanna Cortez, Sheena Skutt, Alexis Flanders, and Aliyah Garcia; six nephews, Shane Skutt, Enrique Cortez Thompson, Nicholas, Carlos, Jr., Titus Garcia, and Robert Flanders IV; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

 Lupe was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Fred Garcia.
