Guillermo Vadell-Torres (Lansing)

March 5, 1972 — October 3, 2023

Mr. Guillermo Vadell-Torres passed away on October 3, 2023. He was born March 5, 1972, in Arroyo, Puerto Rico. The son of Jose Guillermo Vadell and Carmen Raquel Torres Ramiu.

Guillermo lived in Lansing, Michigan, but was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He spent time in Alaska, Florida, and Wisconsin before calling Lansing home for the past 13 years. Guillermo is a 1990 graduate of Service High School in Anchorage, Alaska. He attended Lansing Community College and graduated with a degree in General Business and Phlebotomy. In 2018, Guillermo graduated from Lansing Barber College and is a licensed barber. Guillermo worked at several local barbershops until 2023 when he and close friends opened their own barbershop, Kings of Fades. Guillermo was perfectly imperfect, the best dressed anywhere he went, he was hilarious, and could dance better than anyone around. Guillermo was highly intelligent, he was fluent in Spanish, and was very proud to be a Boricua (native Puerto Rican). There was nothing Guillermo loved more than his babies and was so proud of each of them. G’s babies have the most amazing guardian angel now. Fly high, Papi!
