Hardy Webster Jr., 82, passed away peacefully at his home on August 21, 2013. He was born on March 13, 1931 in Linden, Texas, the son of Hardy and Mattie Webster. Under the guidance of his loving parents he attended Macedonia Baptist Church, where he received Christ at an early age. Hardy was always seen proudly wearing a cross of remembrance and often heard acknowledging how good the Lord has been to him. He married Linda Ann Rainge in 1958 and they had two daughters. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Korea and Vietnam, proudly serving around the world where duty called for 20 years. In 1969, Hardy retired from the Air Force in Weisbaden, Germany. Following his military retirement he spent a short time working in the asphalt business and as an East Lansing law enforcement officer before accepting a position with General Motors where he retired after 23 years from the Transportation department in 1994.
