Mr. Harry Gaylord Carruth passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at his residence in Saginaw, Michigan. He was the tenth child born to Mike and Ora (Nelson) Carruth in Phillips County, Lexa, Arkansas.

Harry came to Saginaw in his early teens and started working for General Motors Saginaw Malleable Iron Foundry. He retired after thirty-five years of service.

Harry loved horse races, gardening and working on cars with his brother Odie and his nephew Dale. A man that loved the outdoors, he also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend has gone from labor to reward and his memory will forever be cherished.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Ora Carruth; stepson, Paul Menzies; brothers, Clarence, Mike, Odie, Lev, Ed Carruth; sisters, Thaylia Jones, Daisy Hamilton, Cora Womack; very special nephew, Mike Carruth “Dale”; sisters-in-law, Eddie B., Geneva, Sona and Delores.

He leaves a lifetime of memories with his loving wife, Lizzie Mae Caruth; daughters, Sandra Roberson “Niecy”, Saginaw, Michigan, Donna Gilmore, Little Rock, Arkansas, Tiffany Carruth, South Haven, Mississippi; grandchildren, Anthony Roberson “Peeper”, Atlanta, Georgia, Brittany (Corey) Prescott, Saginaw, Michigan, Devarious (Shatavia), Savannah Menzie, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Christian Carruth, South Haven, Mississippi, Jaylan Ward, Little Rock, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Caidan, Coreon Prescott; sister, Ora Carruth, Lexa, Arkansas; special nephews, Sullivan Hamilton, Lev Carruth, Jr.; special niece, Bobbie Caruth; special cousins, Curts Carruth, Melvin White; sisters-in-law, Ivy Menzies, Nadine Bonds, Flora Burnett, Queen Barnett; brothers-in-law, Roosevelt (Ruby) Menzies, Fredrick Washington, both of Saginaw, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends Chris Hood, Jessie, Sammy “Moon”, Rodrick Porter, Bobby Kelly and Lloyd Riley.
