Hattie Mae Ellis Williams went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2012.
Age 86 years.
She was born July 11, 1925 in Scotts, Mississippi to Ernest and Mary Hardy Ellis. Hattie accepted Christ at a young age. She was a long term member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Usher Board, the Senior Choir and the Mothers Board. She later joined Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.
She retired from the Ramada Inn, Inc. Hattie loved to shop and communicate with her friends and family.
She was the proud mother of four children; TW Mason, Dorothy Mason, Willie Mason and Aaron Jean Williams-McKissick. Hattie was blessed with 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends .
Hattie was preceded in death by her first husband Willie H. Mason and her second husband Aron Williams. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Earnest Ellis and Frank Ellis; sister Alice Ellis Tyler and a grandson.
