Henretta Caradine passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her residence. Age 96 years. She was born January 14, 1916 in Almyra, Arkansas to Peter and Ellen Rice.
Henretta owned and successfully operated a restaurant in Arkansas. After retirement, she relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in 1988. She was a member of Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Murray Culberson. Henretta was a member of the Mother Board. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Giola Williams; one son, Milton Bell Jr.; one cousin, Norel W. Harvey, Blytheville, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Era Rice, Muskegon, Michigan; many other relatives and friends.
Henretta was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Ellen Rice; husband, George Caradine; brothers and sisters, Joel, Mary, Peter Jr., Homer, David and Booker T. Rice, Beulah Barnes, Mattie Brown, Vivian Pipkins.
The family would like to express special thanks to her caregiver, Yommia Warren.
