Mr. Henry John Ford passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw. Age 38 years. He was born in Saginaw Michigan on July 19, 1986, to Mary Lou Betzold and Henry Ford Sr.
Henry lived in the Tri-City area all of his life but spent most of his life in Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Saginaw High School and worked as the Security Guard at MWN Security Company for John Moten at Hoyt Library and a few other places like Candy Hair Store for the last couple of years. Henry was a one-of-a-kind man; funny, loving, kind, and would help anyone who needed it. He was the type of man who would give the shirt off his back to a stranger he just met. Henry had a big heart and loved a lot of people; he was always there to lend a helping hand. Growing up he enjoyed singing and recreating songs with his siblings, working on vehicles, and using his hands. His favorite thing to do was to hang out with his brothers and his children. Henry was a family man who absolutely loved his kids like no other and would do anything for them. His daughter loved to spend time with him while he was working at the library, he was loved and adored by the people who worked and came to the library and he will be truly missed by so many.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sherika Ford of 18 years, Bridgeport, Michigan; one daughter and two sons, Henry Ford III, Nathan Ford, and Maryah Ford; his parents, Henry Ford Sr.; Dennis (Stephanie) West Sr. and their children; grandmother, Martha (Edward) Franklin; stepmother, Tonya Bentley; eight sisters, Brooklyn Scott (BJ/Billie Jean), Sheila VanWert, Tiffany White, Octavia Oliver, Demetria West, Shawna Hardway, Shamiya West, and Charmaine Moore; eleven brothers, William Scott (Fester), Brandon Wright (Scooter), Dennis West Jr. (April). Deandre West Sr., Trevon West, Tyrus Williams, Deandre Macon Sr., Ricky Avery Sr., Omarion West, Steven West Jr., and Jeremiah West. Henry also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members; along with many other friends and co-workers.
Henry was preceded in death by his mother, Marylou Betzold; stepfather, Billy Ray Scott Sr. (Billy Jack); grandmother, Elanore Betzold; great-granny, Annie Nelson; his maternal grandparents; uncle, Roy West Jr., and other aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank everyone who has been there to help support the family and the children during this time of need. We want to thank the community for the outpouring of support. Finally, we are happy to lay Henry to rest; we would not have been able to do so without everyone's love and support.
