Loving and devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2009. Age 81 years. He was born October 14, 1927 in Eupora, MS, son of the late Charlie O. Harvey and Ariana Lathin-Harvey. Henry joined the U.S. Army and fought in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1952. In December of 1975, he moved to Los Angeles, CA. where he owned and operated several businesses. His memory will be cherished by five children, Dorothy (Abraham) Allen and Loretta (Ruben) Polk, Saginaw, MI, Ariana (Robert) Harvey, Henry Christopher Harvey and Everett Harvey of Los Angeles, CA., one sister, Rosie Stovall and one brother, Jimmy Harvey; three sisters-in-law, Rev. Willie Mae Harvey, Rebecca Harvey, and Mary Harvey, 27 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a special friend Donna.
Henry was predeceased by his ex-wife, Lorraine Harper; son, Charles Harvey-Marsh, daughters, Jean Marie McClendon and Linda Harvey-Smith; brothers Charlie O. Jr., Charlie E., Walter B., Carl and Louis Harvey, a sister, Claralene Lee, grandsons, Terrace Marsh and Walter T. Harvey.
