Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Mr. Henry Long gained his Heavenly wings on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the age of 64 years. He was born November 5, 1950 in Robinsonville, Mississippi to Elizar and Lucious Long.
Henry relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in 1971 where began employment at Saginaw Grey Iron Foundry. He was also a member of UAW Local 668. Henry retired after many years of faithful service. He attended church services at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport under the leadership of Pastor Dr. R.B. Ouellette. Henry loved spending time with his children and fishing. He enjoyed watching western movies, listening to music and bike riding. Gone but never forgotten, his presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy seven daughters, Ebony Long, Felica Little, Henretta Little, Sheila Long, Evone Long, Tiara Long and Charlett Williams; two sons, Billy Long and Christopher Turner; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five sisters and three brothers; many other relatives and friends.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Elizar and Lucious Long, two sisters and two brothers.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Covenant Healthcare, Mrs. Joanne Goodwin and everyone who offered kind words and condolences.
