Henry Polk

Our beloved companion, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend, Henry Polk accepted his heavenly wings on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at his residence. Age 75 years. He was born September 8, 1937 in Prentiss, Mississippi to Roosevelt and Mary (Williams) Polk.
Henry was known to many as "Gramps". He was a Construction worker and an Automotive Technician, Gramps was a jack of all trades. Henry accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church until his health failed him. His hobbies included fishing and his passion for cars.
Henry leaves to cherish his memory, his loving companion of 42 years, Claudia Cooper; three children, Cheryl, Henry Jr. and Richard Polk; ten step-children, Patricia (James), Loretta (Taylor), Gloria (Billy), Tyrone (Lesha), Earl, Mary (David), Noel (Patricia), Marcella, Diabenese, Antjuan (Martina); one sister Mary (Louis) Washington; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including a special nephew, Larry Polk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Mary (Williams) Polk; daughter Cecelia Polk; siblings, Larry, Percy, Roosevelt, Luther Polk and Ruby Wilson.
