Herletta Tinsley was born August 25, 1968 in Saginaw, Michigan to Herbert and Alicia Tinsley. She fell asleep on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the age of 51 years.
Herletta attended Buena Vista Public Schools and later studied business at Delta College. She and her fiancé loved watching movies and documentaries with their grandchildren. Her favorite color was money green and she enjoyed reading books and listening to music. Music eased her soul and she passed this passion on to her children and grandchildren as well.
Herletta had a pure heart and loved helping others. She would give her last to anyone in need. She enjoyed being around her elders, listening to stories about “the good ole days” and gleaning their wisdom. She really loved listening to music and capturing memories of her family and friends, which is why she took a million pictures. Her sweet smile, beautiful spirit, and kind heart will truly be missed.
Herletta was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Luestisher Wilkins, Walter and Ida Tinsley, Louise Allan; brothers, Anthony and Salathean Tinsley.
She leaves precious memories with her children, James, Darius and Ieicia Tinsley; parents, Herbert and Alicia Tinsley; fiancé, Lance Griffin; grandchildren, James Jr., Aaron, Gabrielle Tinsley, Halina Blythe, Miangel Tinsley-Allen, Anthony Laster; sisters, Lucinda Tinsley, Luetisher Tinsley, Alenda Garcia; brother, Christopher Speer; aunts, Gloria Jones, Lue-Rene Brown, Patricia Wilkins, Diane Campbell; uncles, John Spivey, Ivory Allan, James, Hurbert, Haywood, Walter Tinsley, James and Wayne Gibbins; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to count.
The family would like to express special thanks to the Wilkins, Tinsley, Young, Roberson, Brown, Gibbs, and Laster Families and all their friends for the love, support, food and monetary contributions, Pastor Charles, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
