Herman L Moultrie

Mr. Herman L. Moultrie Homer passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013 at his residence. Age 71 years. He was born January 24, 1942 in Union Springs, Alabama to Joe and Louanna Moultrie.
Herman was a resident of Carrollton, Michigan. He was a graduate of Saginaw High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army and received an honorable discharge after serving a two year tour of duty. Herman was employed at Saginaw Grey Iron Foundry and retired after 48 years of faithful service. He was a member of UAW Local 668. Herman enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Marie Davis Senior Center. He was a huge fan of baseball, loved watching old movies and most of all attending family gatherings. His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Loudean Moultrie; one daughter, Kareba Lawrence; four sons, Kenny Jones, Dwayne Abby, Herman (DeLona) Moultrie Jr. and Joseph Moultrie; eight grandchildren, Jasmine, Kierra, Herman III, Dorrian and Durell Moultrie, Tyrese, Terrell and Gabrielle Lawrence; two sisters, May Woods and Aprille Moultrie; two brothers, Jimmie and Al (Cynetta) Moultrie; several nieces and nephews; two aunts, Pearl Dorsey and Nettie Jones; one uncle, James (Catherine) Underwood; many other relatives and friends including his special friends, Donald W. Kerridge, Ernest Wafer, Thomas Russell, Johnny Williams and his barber, Aaron Mitchell.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Louanna Moultrie; mother and father-in-law, Willie and Florine Abby.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the Marie Davis Senior Center and everyone who offered kind words and condolences.
