Herman Mcnair

Mr. Herman Lee McNair passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the age of 80. He was born December 13, 1942, in Troy, Alabama, to Jake Pete McNair and Sadie Lee Finnel.

Herman was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Herman was a graduate of Arthur Hill Technical High School, Class of 1961. He was employed by General Motors (Chevrolet Grey Iron Foundry) as a skilled trade Pipe Fitter. Herman was affiliated with UAW Local 668. He enjoyed weightlifting, fishing, basketball, track, football, boxing, wrestling, watching Jeopardy, playing solitaire, and listening to and singing songs by Johnnie Mathis.

He leaves to cherish his memory five daughters, and six sons, Patricia Joyce Laster, Pamela (Henry) Smith Jr., Steve Trigg, Stephanie (Gregory) Burns, Reginald Lee McNair, Kimberly (Terrance) Irby, Kyla McNair, Keith (Kanika) Trigg, Dion, and Darron Graham, and Sterling Evans; stepchildren, Dustie LaPointe, and Maggie LaPointe; forty-three grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; siblings, Jake (Virgie) McNair, Robert (Earliene) McNair, Annette (Arthur) Millege, Leatha (Clifford) Calhoun, and Johnnie Ray Finnel; a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends including a special friend, Pearlie Reed.

Herman Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Jake Pete McNair, and Sadie Lee Walker-Finnel; two sisters, Mary E. Davis, and Jewel McNeil; and one brother, Louie Frank DeShazzer.
