Horace Davis

Mr. Horace Davis passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Age 68 years. He was born November 29, 1947 to Hezzie and J. D. Davis, Sr.
Horace was employed at Trimquest Automotive. He was a kind man who would help anyone if he could. He was friendly and outgoing and never met any strangers. Horace loved to work on cars and go on fishing trips with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Horace will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gwendolyn Davis; two daughters, Bridgette McKinney of Saginaw, Michigan and Teresa (Shawn) Jackson of Grand Rapids, Michigan; four sons, J.D. Davis III (Kavin), Dawann Davis (Felicia), and Marcus Barnett, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Horace Collins of Muskegon, Michigan; grandchildren, Shawn Jr., Kierra, Shontiana, Breonda, Raeshonda, Donald Jr., Michael, Marcus Jr., Darius, Dawann Jr., Carmen, JyDair and Jhaydis; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty (Calvin) Ginn of Grandview, Missouri, and Mary (Charles) Sledge of Saginaw; many nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special cousin, Jimmy Truss, Sr.
Horace was preceded in death by his parents, Hezzie McKinley and J. D. Davis, Sr., one son, Prentice Flinnon, one sister, Rosemary Campbell, two brothers, J.D. Davis II and Johnnie McKinley, Sr., and a niece, Deshawn Davis.
