Hoshea was a graduate of Bullock County High School in Union Springs, Alabama. After graduation, he joined the United States Army and faithfully served his country. Hoshea was a very self-motivated and out-going person. He loved playing baseball, basketball and working out. It was his human nature to help and protect his family and anyone that he loved. He had a great sense of humor and he was always laughing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Gone but not forgotten, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Marsha Pruitt; one daughter, Enchantee Jefferson, Saginaw, Michigan; two sons, HyTavious Sparks and Zaahir Monroe, both of Union Springs, Alabama; five brothers, Darnell Williams and Roderick Cooper, both of Union Springs, Alabama, Theodore Jones, New York, Calvin Efforts, Virginia, Andre (Sharise) Pruitt, Saginaw, Michigan; seven sisters, Latasha, Nicole, Lodetric and Corinthian Cooper, all of Union Springs, Alabama, Jennifer Hinton, Dothan, Alabama, Sharron Washington, Atlanta, Georgia, Sheila Pruitt-Young, Kissimmee, Florida ; one step-sister, Sharon Nash; two grandchildren, Uriaha and Sierra Love; seven uncles, Robert Bethume, Ervin and Frank Owens, J.T., Al, Calvin and Walton Pruitt, all of Union Springs, Alabama; eight aunts, Alma Owens, Al and Martha Jean Pruitt, Janice (Flint) Berry, all of Union Springs, Alabama, Martha Owens and Mary (McKinley) Sweeney, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Clara Pearson, Atlanta, Georgia, Dorothy Pruitt, Phenix City, Alabama; several nieces, nephews and cousins including a special niece, Shana Pruitt and special cousins, Antonio Jones, Lessie Hall, and Darlene Pruitt; many other relatives and friends.
Hoshea was preceded in death by his parents, L.K. and Annie Jean Pruitt, grandparents, S.T. Sr. and Lessie Pruitt, Janie and Nathaniel Owens, one brother, Theodis Pruitt, one sister, Jacqueline Pruitt, three uncles, S.T. Pruitt, Willie Mack Owens, Barnard Pearson, two aunts, Rosie C. Baldwin and Mary Frances Pruitt.
