Mr. Houston Jackson, III, age 53 of Flint, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2025 to be with the Most High God. HJ3 was born in Saginaw, Michigan to Houston Jr. and Elaine (Bryant) Jackson on May 13, 1971 while his dad Houston Jr. was stationed in Vietnam with the U.S. Army.

Houston was raised in Bethel A.M.E. Church. He attended Sunday School and was on the Junior Usher Board. HJ3 attended Jessie Loomis Elementary School. He was a Webber Junior High School Wildcat and a Proud Saginaw High School Trojan Class of 1989. He was in the National Honor Society and attended Upward Bound at Delta College. He studied at Central Texas College and studied Behavioral Psychology at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI. CEO and Founder of HJ3 Entertainment and Promotions. He worked at Saginaw Malleable Iron, Saginaw Grey Iron, and then at GM Truck and Bus, Flint, Michigan, as a Team Leader.

Houston never met a stranger. His smile lit up a room. He was a joy to be around, he was naturally sweet and funny, a kind soul who had a “Heart of Gold”. He loved his family so much so that he had a tattoo of our family tree on his back with 2 scrolls containing family members' names, and he loved all of his friends dearly. Houston loved reading and learning. He had a wide range of skills and abilities. “God Given Talents.” He could figure out how to fix anything. He played baseball, basketball, flag football, and kickball. He was a bowler, motorcyclist, barber, shot pool, played dominoes, chess, spades, bid whisk, video games, and not only was he a fisherman, he was a “Fisher of Men.” He was a connoisseur of music, movies, and food. He had a passion for old school music and different genres of music, movie classics and cooking. He loved the Food Channel, and his favorite foods to cook were all varieties of seafood, barbeque and Vargas tacos. He made a mean spaghetti salad, too. He was a Chef and could cook with the Best!!
