Mr. Hugh Lee Bailey passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 74 years. He was born August 29, 1938 in Cooksville, Mississippi to Mexico and Mary Alice Bailey.
Hugh retired from General Motors after 35 years of faithful service. He enjoyed working in his garden. Hugh loved westerns and his favorite TV show was Gunsmoke. He was a very friendly, kind-hearted people person who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His memory will be cherished by his daughter, Terenia Bailey; two sons, LaTerence Bailey and Michael Terry Taylor; one stepson, Reginald Nelson; grandchildren, Toua, Carlisa and Carlos Bailey, Cedric and Cedrika Johnson, Terence Bailey; great-grandchildren, ReShanti McCall, Kimora Kinnard, Jaiden Barnes, Carterrionna Bailey, Eryn Johnson, Airis and Paris Johnson, Camille Johnson and Karmello Williams; his father, Mexico Bailey; five sisters, Ida King, Carleen Bailey, Dorothy Bailey, Bonita Marshall, Diane Cooper; one brother, Willie E. Smith Sunny two nieces, Renita Marshall and Bernuna Bailey; many other relatives and friends including a special friends, Sonja, Michelle, Niecey Doss, Sharon Jones and Mildred Johnson.
Hugh was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Mae Bailey, mother, Mary Bailey, one nephew, Fredrick Bailey.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the Bailey family in Bessemer, Alabama and to all the friends and loved ones who express their heartfelt condolences to our family during our time of bereavement.
