Mr. Hugh Edward Williams, husband, father, brother and friend, passed away on Thursday April 26, 2018 at his residence. Age 77 years. He was born on January 31, 1941 in Alligator, Mississippi to Percy L. Williams and Sarah Lee James.
Mr. Williams matriculated through Mississippi Public Schools and graduated from Rosa Fort High School in Tunica, Mississippi. He attended Mount Zion Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Williams was a beautiful and loving person. His favorite hobby was fishing and he enjoyed the peace and solitude of being on the water. Although he enjoyed fishing alone, Hugh enjoyed the company of his family and friends even more. In addition to fishing, he also loved painting, which was his occupation for many years.
Mr. Hugh Williams leaves to cherish his memory, his companion Magnolia Buford; one daughter, Katrina Williams; seven sons, Hugh E. Williams Jr., Christopher Edwards, Hugh Edward Buford, Dominic Buford, Tyrone Buford, Demetrius Buford, Charles Edward Buford; one stepson, Anthony B. Williams; ten grandchildren, Deshawn Buford, Charles Fleming, Tyree Buford, Dantae Buford, Damarion Holt, Tywon Buford, Giovanni Rogers, Davin Carter, Tamarion Melvin, and Dasia Brooks; one sister, Lucy B. Campbell; four brothers, Eddie D. Campbell, Benjamin James, Robert James, Oliver Campbell; one niece, Barbara Ann Speed; two cousins, Hattie Moore and Patsy Moore; a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife Margie Williams; son Joseph Buford, parents, Percy L. Williams and Sarah Lee James; brother, Eddie D. Campbell, two sisters, Barbara Jean Buford, Ernestine Buford; two nieces, Shirley Speed and Marquita Buford.
