Ivory Duane Hall

Ivory Duane Hall passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 59 years. He was born on February 22, 1958 to Ivory Bland and Savannah Hall.

Ivory was a graduate of Saginaw High School, “Class of 1976.” He completed many enrichment courses and worked several years at General Motors Saginaw Malleable Iron Foundry. He was a member of UAW Local 455. Ivory relocated to Lansing, Michigan where he enjoyed bike riding, shopping and traveling. He loved spending time in public libraries reading books.

Ivory leaves to cherish his memory six siblings: five sisters, Betty (Wilbert) Lyles, Vassar, Michigan, Brenda Hall Hightower and Joann Randle, Grand Rapids, Michigan; Cynthia Sims, Riverview, Florida, Lauralean (Nehemiah) Beatty, Saginaw, Michigan; one brother, Elder Roy (Delicia) Sims, Saginaw, Michigan; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special uncle, Ritchard (Jean) Bland.

Ivory was preceded in death by his parents, Ivory Bland and Savannah Hall; stepfather, Roy Sims, Sr.; grandparents, Willie and Clara Hall.

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the staff at Sparrow Hospital, White Hills Health Care Center and Riverfront Apartments of Lansing, Michigan; Ivan E. Phillips and the staff at Paradise Funeral Chapel, and everyone that played a special part in Ivory’s journey throughout his lifespan.
