J D Cheathem

Mr. JD Cheathem passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Tendercare-Saginaw. Age 77 years. He was born January 30, 1933 in Luverne, Alabama to Buster and Maybell Cheathem.
JD was raised in Alabama moving to Michigan in 1968. He was employed at Greddes formerly known as Eaton Foundry in Vassar, MI. He married Marilyn Howard and together they raised eight children. He was a member of Greater Ephesians C.O.G.I.C. JD enjoyed the outdoors, he loved fishing and gardening. In the summer you would catch him in his swing outside or in his garage fixing on something. He loved to stay busy but most of all he loved his family especially his grandkids.
JD leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Marilyn Cheathem, two daughters, Carolyn (Dwane) Sample, Tushya (Nicanory) Sabula; four step-children, Debra Bridgewater, Artis Bouthel, Constance Wallace, Anthony (Carmen) Bender; four sisters, Ida Jewel, Annie Mearl Jenkins, May Kate (David) Smith, Mammie (Jerry) Young; two brothers, JC Nelson, Willie Ray Cheathem; many grandchildren, other relatives and friends including, special grandson, Quay Cheathem, goddaughters, Susan Reynolds, Jessica Howard; special friend, Jimmy Hall.
He was preceded in death by parents, Buster and Maybel
Cheathem; step-sons, Terry Bender, Tracy Bender;
step-grandsons, JDeangelo Cheathem, Tamarus Darby; brother, Frank Cheathem, sister, Lucy Kate Cheathem.
