Jacqueline Elaine Lacey

Mother Jacqueline Elaine Lacey passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Covenant HealthCare Cooper. Age 90 years. She was born February 27, 1933, in Lynchburg, Virginia, to King Solomon and Ina Mae Pannell Morris.

Jacqueline was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She retired as a healthcare professional. Jackie enjoyed playing bingo, cards, electronic poker, and listening to the blues and gospel music. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Donita M. Lacey and Tee-Ar Hines, Saginaw, Michigan; six sons, Benjamin Smith and Donald Lacey, New York City, New York, Ronald, Jack, and Joseph Lacey, and Charles L. Hines, all of Saginaw, Michigan; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Davis Berry, Amherst, Virginia; niece, Jean F. Tenor; nephews, William Paige “Buzz” and Bernard K. Morris; many other relatives and friends including special friend, Jessie Toney.

In addition to her biological family, Mother Lacey dearly loved Deborah Morris and Samone Lacey.

Mother Lacey was preceded in death by two children, Bonita C. Morris and Kevin B. Lacey; her parents, King Solomon and Ina Morris; six brothers, and four sisters.

The family would like to express special thanks to Mary McDonald; President Kimberly Horne and Alpha Kapa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Eta Upsilon Omega Chapter; Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.

In accordancee with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
