Jahrue Everett (Lansing)

Mr. Jahrue Akem Everett passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Bay City, Michigan. Age 48 years. He was born August 10, 1972 in Saginaw, Michigan. The son of George Everett and Mae (Cooper) Everett Hamilton.

Jahrue’s life and journey was hip hop. He was a producer at TaylorMade Records, based in Lansing, Michigan in the early 90s. During this same period, him and his brother formed the group, Reck Da Phunk. Later in his career Jahrue worked as a producer and engineer at a professional studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Here he worked with celebrities such as Another Bad Creation and Da Brat. In the early 2000s, he was based at Zowe Records in Chicago, Illinois, once again working with top industry engineers. In 2010, Jahrue and his brother released their second professional album while he continued a professional producing and engineering career at Inarhyme Records in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Through hard work and determination, Jahrue started his own music publishing company in 2018. At the time of his death, he produced and sold many beats internationally and was working on his second independent release of a new solo project.

He leaves to cherish his memory special friend, Jennifer Andersen of Bay City, Michigan; four daughters, Kiara, MyKayla, Kendiee, and Kaiyah Everett; his mother, Mae (Johnny) Hamilton; his sister, Zapora Everett; his brother, Dejuan (Cara) Everett; two nieces, Amia and Sofia Everett; two nephews, Malik Everett and Rodney Jones, Jr.; two aunts, Mary and Carolyn Everett; two uncles, Bennie Cooper and Reggie Choyce; close friends, Wayne and Marcy Andersen; many other relatives and friends including godbrother, Willis Wiks; cousins, Juan and Parchay McTilliman, Keith Reynolds, Kareem Everett, Cazella Cooper, Fenesa Reynolds, Jermar Everett; and very special cousin Rozalla Cooper,

He is preceded in death by his father, George Everett; grandparents, Willie and Nancy Cooper, George and Pauline Everett.
