James A Goosby (Lansing)

The sun rose for James Andre’ Goosby October 14, 1964. The sun set for James on February 17, 2020. He was born to James Earl Goosby and Vassie Goosby on October 14, 1964 in Lansing, Michigan.

James graduated from J.W. Sexton High School. He worked at Michigan State University until his hip failed him. James was a kind soul. He did what he could to help those around him. He loved a good laugh and enjoyed spending time with his family. James loved his family and made sure to tell them often, so they didn’t forget it, especially his mother. He especially made sure his mother knew how much he loved her. The Lord once again claims another back to Heaven. May the family heal and find comfort during this hard time.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Ashare Goosby; two granddaughters, Precious Miles, Denira Miles; mother, Vassie Goosby; one sister, Theresa L. (Rickey) Gordon; one aunt, Wilma Pendleton; two uncles; Lonnie (Odell) McKissic and Richard Johnson, Jr.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and many other loved ones.

James was preceded in death by his father, James Earl Goosby; sisters, Renee A. Goosby and Rechelle M. Goosby-Brooks
