Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend James Bradley was born on April 17, 1944, in Saginaw, Michigan to Edgar and Fannie Mae Bradley. He received his wings on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 80 years of age.
James graduated from Saginaw High School in 1962. In 1963, he began his employment with General Motors, and he stayed with the company for 45 years, until he retired at the age of 64. He was a member of the UAW local 467 and he was actively involved. On August 21, 2010, James married Reller M. Richardson. They have spent the last 14 years of life side by side, doing many things to enjoy life and each other. This included attending True Believers Outreach ministry, in which Brother James and his wife opened their home to the ministry for a short period of time when the previous place for worship had to change. Then God directed the Pastor to find a building, and James played a huge role in helping to renovate the church located on Wadsworth in Saginaw, Michigan.
James was no stranger to hard work. And he was willing to assist anyone in need. His hobbies included skating, wrestling, bowling, and most of all fishing. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends. And he enjoyed traveling to different places in and out of state.
His memory is left to be cherished by his wife Reller Bradley, his brothers Ernest Bradley and Edgar Bradley, all of Saginaw, Michigan. His children Tina (Dave) Handeen, Richard (Tracey) Bradley both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, James (Katrina) Rhoden, Dionne Richardson both of Saginaw, Michigan, and Deatrice Richardson of Taylor, Michigan.
He also leaves twelve grandchildren to cherish his memory, Keyina Parker, Anthony Zollicofer, David Stribling, Richard Bradley Jr., and Isaiah Bradley all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Darquavious Stevenson-Richardson of Cleveland, Ohio. Aniya Gray, Taure’yanna Richardson, Shay’Dejia Richardson, Jarrelle Smith-Richardson, Mi’Kayla McDaniel, and Daja’Nae Thomas all of Saginaw, Michigan.
He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Andrew Williams and his lovely wife, Mary, and his goddaughter, Sabrina Shepherd of Saginaw, Michigan. Three brothers-in-law Raymond Richardson, Arthur Richardson, and Ronald Richardson all of Saginaw, Michigan, and two sisters-in-law Pastor Shelia M. Washington, and Luree McKinney both of Saginaw, Michigan.
James was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Fannie Mae Bradley, three sisters, Rosie Bradley-Hysten, Marg Hulford, and Carrie Bradley-Martin, and two brothers Oniel Wilson and Joseph Bradley.
The family of James Bradley would like to acknowledge and send a special thank you to his granddaughter, Mi’Kayla McDaniel, for all that she has done to help him and her grandmother Reller in these last years. Also, thank you to the workers at Covenant Cooper Hospital, and Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel. We appreciate you all more than you could ever realize.
